"Old School BBQ Shrimp Recipe!"

grilled shrimp Ingredients

- 1 kg shrimp (deveined)

- 2 tablespoons of olive oil

- 2 tablespoons of garlic powder

- 2 teaspoons of salt

- 1 lemon

- 1 tablespoon of apple dry vinegar

Method

Place shrimp in a mixing bowl and drizzle the olive oil over. Sprinkle over salt, garlic powder and vinegar to taste.

Soak wooden skewers in water for an hour and shrimp through the skewers.

Pre-heat grill to a medium heat and grill shrimp for 2 minutes and flip over. Grill for a further 2 minutes or more until done. Grilling time will depend on the size of the shrimp and heat of the grill.

Slice lemon in half and squeeze over lemon juice and serve as a tasty appetizer! (start the party off with a bang!)


"Spicy Grilling Shrimp Recipe"

- 2 kg shrimp (deveined)

- 1 tablespoon of salt

- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

- 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

- 2 teaspoons of lemon juice

- 2 teaspoons of paprika (hot)

Method

In a mixing bowl combine salt, pepper, garlic powder, lemon juice and paprika. Mix together to form a paste. Combine shrimp and evenly coat with the paste.

Pre-heat grill to a medium to high heat and place shrimp on. Grill for 2 - 3 minutes on each side until shrimp is opaque.

Serve with rice or potatoes, garnish with lemon wedges. (perfect BBQ shrimp!)


"Rum & Garlic BBQ Shrimp"

- 2 kg shrimp (deveined)

- 4 tablespoons of rum

- 4 cloves garlic (minced)

- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

- 1 teaspoon of salt

- 1 tablespoon of ground black pepper

- 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar

- 2 tablespoons of brown sugar

Method

In a mixing bowl combine 2 tablespoons of rum, garlic, salt, pepper and vinegar. Mix ingredients together and place the shrimp in the bowl, ensuring they get covered with the sauce. Place bowl in the fridge for 30 minutes.

In a separate mixing bowl combine the other 2 tablespoons of rum, sugar and lemon juice. Mix ingredients together thoroughly.

Pre-heat the grill to medium to high heat and place shrimp on the grill. Grill shrimp for 3 minutes on each side and keep brushing over rum, sugar and lemon mixture. Grill till shrimp is opaque.

Serve with rice and any over sauce! Enjoy!
